if anything the police are more interested in seeing a ban of realistic looking pellet guns sold as imitation guns in major retail outlets with minimal oversight to age restriction.
Practically none of us get our guns through "traditional retail" outlets

My view of the government being stupid isn't totally to do with airsoft. I've felt that way for quite a while, especially during tax season, lol.
I am optimistic that it won't be banned, but I'll bet they'll make it a lot harder to obtain an airsoft. They should do here what they did in the UK. You can have your replica gun, provided you have a permit. I'm totally fine with that. If you don't have a permit, you can still have your gun provided you're 18, but it'll be bright green in color (at least that's what I've been told by a few friends from over there).
I just hope they didn't completely screw you when they edited your interview. I'm just getting in to this, and I'd like to be able to enjoy it for a few years.
