Let me clarify some of these EXTREME issues...
I own a couple of these and have modified one all I can.

The Extreme can be made to lock-back once the last round is fired only if you:
- remove the screw under the slide catch.
- remove the stock short stroke recoil spring set-up and install an upgraded 4.3 recoil spring along with an Airsoft Surgeon shock buffer.

I have not experienced any jams but I have also installed the PGC Extreme slide and tuned it to my liking. The only drawback I have with having the slide lock back is that it reduces the ROF. I have since gone back to the short stroked set-up on my modified Extreme...I love the faster ROF !!!
