Theoretically yes. I don't own an Xtreme so I don't actually know. My testing has been done on my own modified blowback chamber (which is slightly different than TM's current one), where if the slide moved back enough for it to lock, the hammer would release too early and get jammed under the pistol. I solved this issue by putting in a home made buffer and that prevents the slide from catching.
Either you're gonna have to get your hands on one to test it out, or you can try to ask around politely to see if anyone is willing to test it on their own.
Hell, I'll ask. If anyone owns an Xtreme, could they do me a favour? Remove the buffer and remove the little screw, and tell me if the slide locks back or if the gun jams up on firing. Thanks.
