No matter which one he goes with, I still think he should seek assistance, even if it's not in the form of a gun doc, at least a friend who's done this before.
Also, is there some sort of budget involve? We can go least-parts-possible, but I personally don't recommend that. If you're going inside the mechbox anyways, might as well replace everything you want to now.
And is the gun even meant to stay inside the average Ontario field limit of 400fps? The OP seems rather keen on 400+.

I told him to use Prom M110 to keep it arond 390FPS.
