Remember that a tightbore barrel can add up to 25 fps to your velocity, so take that into your spring calculations to try to stay under 400.
My CA M15 rifle has a Prometheus MS110SP spring that got the rifle to 365 on its own. Adding a 6.03mm tightbore shot that up to 390 fps, and to me, that's an ideal velocity - just under 400. My custom C8 has the same spring. It shot 360, and adding a tightbore brought me up to 380. My JG 416 with its stock spring shot 390. I installed a tightbore and that brought it up to 415, making it too hot for the fields I've played. Installing a better hopup rubber even increased that up to 430.
So if I were you, I would consider you try to look for a spring that will get you about 370-ish fps rather than getting a 400 fps spring.
