You take all the fun out of things sometimes
The security industry in Ontario just changed in a manner not unlike your PAL thought... the Ministry blended Private investigators and Security guards together into one license. I pay another $80 and I get a PI license on top of my guard license.
So the precedent is there, and there's a template the PAL system could adopt and adapt.
And I'm sure people in charge of regulating and knowing the PAL system take training courses regularly (at work there's almost a course a month I have to sit in on. Different industry, but still), so I don't know how much work/money it'd take to incorporate an Airsoft recognition program into the PAL thing, but I can't see it being a shit ton.
