Airsoft guns as we understand them are replicas because they closely resemble real firearms.

Clearsoft aren't replica because there are no transparent firearms.

Pellet guns aren't considered replica because they are suppose to shoot hard enough to pierce skin.

I'm pretty sure this has all been covered before elsewhere.
