take the motor out of the grip, hold it in your hand and pull the trigger.
If its spins freely than the motor is ok and your gears are probably shimmed to tight or something is not right inside the mechbox.

Also this will rule out electrical problems.

Also, a great test. Before you put it all together again, just slap your grip on to your mech box, put the motor in, place your finger over the nozzle and press the trigger. This will also help you to hear a bit better on whats going on.

If all else fails, dont try too much to fix it if you are not comfortable with AEG's....its risky business. So dont just send it to anyone, find a local gundoc. It is much easier to bring the gun to someone than ship it. Also cheaper.

if at any point in time you hear a screeeching or binding sound, stop everything.
