It tends to land sideways. I've never seen a grenade land and stay upright in testing.
It's damn durable, but I do worry about the bonk hazard. Still, it seemed obvious to all of my testers that they shouldn't be whipping the grenades at each other. It seemed that underhand tosses were easiest to control. Long bombing a grenade downfield doesn't work very well as you have no idea where it'll end up stopping and blowing up. You also risk losing it because it's hard to keep a long throw in sight.
