With some basic upgrades (spring, recommend the Prometheus 110) and metal bushings, the gun is reliable and works great in the field as long as yo uuse 0.25g and up for BB weight (I've used 0.25g for a couple years, this year went full 0.28g and am very impressed). I have two TM MP5s, both shoot 2" holes at 30ft (since I work on quite a few varieties of guns, VERY few of them can do that), one is upgraded to 365fps, the other used to be 385fps (the spring wore out, need a new one) and with the Guarder clear hop up rubber I put in them, it's nothing to get my rounds downrange an easy 200ft, and brush penetration is really good too with the heavier BBs.
Aside from the V2 mechbox, the TM MP5 is very reliable, accurate and rugged.
