Well...after waiting ever so patiently, I finally recieved my new toy! A Tanaka M700 AICS. I also installed a Tasco 6-24x50AOE Illuminated Mil-dot sight with range finder! Ya I know...a bit of a over kill for the sight, but hey...it looks cool. Although the instructions are in Japanese/Chinese, I still have to play with the PCS as well the hop-up. More of the PCS is what I'm most interested in.
I performed a poor mans chrony test using those .30g I got from Bug, it shredded through the can from the side. No problems puncturing through the bottom then through the top. It split/slighty punctured the top about 1/2 cm from the lip, ricocheted and whapped me in the forehead leaving a slight red welt. I was estimated 8-10 feet from the can. Good thing I was wearing my ballastic goggles. I estimate it's shooting probably over 500fps. Gotta find info on how to adjust the PCS.
I need to get some higher scope mounts as the forward part of the scope is rubbing against the barrel. I eventually will get upgrades for it, although that should be interesting.
