figured out the solution. It turns out the gun was a lemon adn no matter what I did to it it wouldn't work. But other news is that another p226 that I owned had the same problem. I simply replaced the recoil spring with a guarder one and voila problem solved. The guarder loading nozzle only reinforced the gun so it's now covered in both places. Hope this helps with everyone.
