Ever make a cloak?

First off... Hello! Been enjoying reading these forums for a while (particularly this one) and decided to get everyones P.O.V. on my next project, before i start it. Just to let you know, this will be for paintball, as no one in my immediate area, that i know of, has airsoft games frequently. But i figured whose better to ask then the most mil-sim of all recreational warriors? (That would be you air softers. :-D )

What i'm planning on making is a loose fitting cloak, large enough to wrap around myself when standing, or to cover the area around me (destroying the human outline) when kneeling/lieing. So far i've figured the best design will be a simple one, shown here: http://home.clara.net/arianrhod/Alde...f/Cloak02.html
I'll end up sewing something onto the edges to protect from fraying and catching, aswell as to add a small amount of weight.
The fabric i'm looking at using is the old US army woodland (as thats the onl fabric i can find in any camouflage). However, I'd love to use some cadpat fabric as the rest of my kit is cadpat.

So my questions to all of you: Do you think a cloak would be effective for camouflaging? And do you have suggestions for making it? Also, anyone know where one can pick up four or five yards of any digi camo (Cadpat prefered) and what cost one would be looking at?

Thanks in advance for the help all.
