I like it because you can get it precisely where you need to and you can avoid having to "drip" it in odd spots and end up over-lubing and compromising your guns performance. I use green gas so I don't need to add any extra oil to my mags and I find that a simple shot of lube once a year on the slide/frame junction and on the spring guide is sufficient. No failures yet.
