Short or long really depends on what set up you have or which one looks better for you. You cant really ask someone to answer that for you because in the end you get the same effect of bbs spraying out.
Which brand? If you want full metal and good quality I would suggest the G&P models. They come it both long, short... military type or RIS types.
Other Info? What more can you need... the damn ammo (as in grenades) for these things are crazy expensive. Some are high maintenance. They dont shoot that far either and if your planning on playing outdoors you will rarely have the chance of using them. Unless you have a group of people charging at you or if they were together as a group (any other situation persist..)
If you want the cosmetics look of a gun with a G-nade launcher then go for it. Its all up to you.
