I run a 6.03mm Prometheus (stainless steel) barrel in my M24 and it never jams, although it's different than an AEG. Good ammo plus a Guarder 50% (clear) Hop Up Sleeve & Bucking should make jamming a non-issue.
What I have heard about tightbores is that they make the hop up adjustment pretty twitchy, in that the sweet spot is that much harder to find and keep. Otherwise.................
