Shouldn't really need any tape, but mechbox alignment is an issue in most CA style 249s so you'll want to make sure that's all good.
The feed should be MANUAL (press button, motor starts winding), and it should be on a pressure switch routed to camoform tape on your grip so you can hit it with your thumb.
Noise, pressure, and "auto" winding mags are complete bullshit. You want it to wind when you need it to wind and not any other time, ever.
That being said, start feeding when you pull the trigger, stop when you let go. Helps with being able to hear people call hits, and you listening for movement.
Wire that bitch right onto your battery, the 9v independent systems are completely retarded when there's a perfectly good 9.6-11.1v battery right there.
And I basically use my LMG like a rifle. fire in 10 rounds bursts, real suppressive fire is considered a dick move at many games these days and may get you in trouble. Which I think is pretty silly. Check your local field rules, but I know cuddys does short burst.
Unless you bought a G&P, it's light enough to swing around like an M4, so just use it like one in most cases.
When there's an assault going on, you basically just get to sit back and hammer every window, crack, doorway, or opening you can see. Keep people's heads down.
And make it abundantly clear to riflemen, because I had the HARDEST time getting this simple point across, that it's THEIR job to move the hell up first, and YOUR job to move the hell up AFTER.
If you're leading the front line, shame on them for not being able to keep up.
