Instinctive aiming is a great skill to have. It takes practice and knowing your weapon to pull off effectively. Been doing that in CQB for a long time, even firing from the hip. Again, it comes down to experience with your gun. You can certainly get a good feel for it with a tracer unit, which is less obvious than a flashlight in low light conditions.
