Ok I will try my best to answer these seriously...

1 First off the slide, exact same as why real steel ones don't hit you in the face they slide back hit compress the spring and then it engages it back forward.

2 since you are over 18 it's the same reason you would clean and lube anything else... Use some common scenes on that one.

3 silicone oil is not recommended for rubber and not recommended for the heat of real steel guns. Over time on Airsoft guns if you don't clean them often the silicon oil will gum things up.

4 why would you oil your Co2? I suppose you could but I'm not sure why?
