I haven't found a comprehensive list of goggles performance and quality (feel free to point us in the right direction if there is one).
We all wear goggles, so let's share our experiences to help each other. There is no "Best goggle", because to different people, different categories are important. To have a unifying template, lets use the following categories:
MASK NAME
More Reviews:
Type: Full face / Goggle with strap / Eyewear (glasses)
Fan integration: Available / not available
Fog Protection: 0/10 (everyone's quantity will be different, but let's put a number to it) & do you use anti-fog, fan, how much do you sweat (0/5) - I'm a full on 5 :P?
Field of Vision: If you can provide the degree value, that will be best. Otherwise feel free to post a qualitative impression (ie, It blocks some view on the sides and bottom).
Comfort: 0/10 value and weight. Feel free to add a qualitative response - what are the annoying things about it or is it perfect and you can sleep and bathe with them?
Cost: $$$
Protection: industry level and coverage
Voice: how well can you hear and speak out of it
EXAMPLE:
Proto Axis Paintball Goggles
More Reviews: http://www.pbnation.com/reviews/prod...ball_axis_pro/
Type: Full face
Fan integration: Available
Fog Protection: 9/10. I sweat a lot (5/5) and use both anti-fog and a fan. If the lens is new, you take care of it, and don't scratch it up inside, then it's pretty much perfect. However because it's a full face mask - on a humid day after you heat up and put in a lot of sweat, it will start to fog like any goggle. The lens is a double, thermal, replaceable lens. Available in different tints.
Field of Vision: 7/10. There's no tunnel vision, but it is restrictive a little bit on the sides, top and bottom. I'll see if I can find the degrees for it.
Comfort: 8/10. Very nice fit, light for a full mask
Cost: $90
Protection: Paintball certified. Full face protection and ears, little forehead protection/
Voice: Hard to speak out of, but decent hearing.
