I have a good pair of Coleman camp/hiking boots from CanTire a 4 years back. Still works great, tested up to 6" of water with no leaks.
Walked my dog in winter with them and was always cousy. Did some week long camping/portages with lots of off trail bush wacking. No ankle injuries and only one slip at high angle mossy boulder.
