It's got the quick change spring so it's easy enough for you to change the FPS for different roles.
I'd say the most important part you need is a good hop-up. Look into R-hop if you are up for the challenge. It'll give you better range and consistency.
The G36CV has an inner barrel of about 265mm and a ported cylinder, which probably won't give you very much power. A combination of quality inner barrel and heavier weight bb might give you the range you want.
It won't turn your gun into a sniper, but it might pass as a DMR.
On my Umarex, I converted the barrel to a 407mm with outer barrel extension, but I don't switch back and forth. On this gun though, changing the inner barrel only takes minutes. Even then, I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle.
