If you do go the TM route, eagle6.co.uk is the place for upgraded batteries and springs.
But expect to sink alot of money into it (though for most, it's great to go out of the box).

It's not that hard to get these guns, but the rest of what Scottyfox says is correct, TM are phenomenal out of the box, for CQB and indoor/low fps games. If you want to play outdoors, 400 FPS games, then you'll need to upgrade.

The difference is, TNL isn't a doctor, hell, I wouldn't let him take apart Mechano and rebuild it, even with an instruction manual. He's got a reputation, a well earned one, for being a tool who shouldn't be given any type of responsibility, and a history to back it up.
The majority of people here have had minor issues at most with their WE rifles, particularly compared to other systems. I own a WE, but I'll be the first one to point out it's flaws, but as of yet, 2 or 3 years in with it, the only issue it's given me was my own fault.
