I think waterproofing on MOSFETs is overblown. As long as it is shrinkwrapped reasonably well and actually inside of the gun, you're probably not going to have issues. Myself and my team members have run numerous SW-SFs and Raptors through everything from downpours to blizzards and they've done fine. The trick is to not dunk your gun in a river, though from what I've personally experienced I suspect most setups would function relatively fine after a river-dunk, if given a few minutes to expel water.
