Dump the dumb charger. If the battery and charger came with the gun, you should be covered. If he will refund you for it "and he should", pick up a Classic Army, or King Arms instead. I love the look of Ares, but I've heard nothing good come from them in about four years. There are many threads on ASC about batteries in depth. Almost all battery types have good and bad brands. Do the research to find out what you need for your gun, and buy an appropriate charger. Smart chargers exist for a reason. Not that a wall charger won't work necessarily. But a proper smart charger can extend the life of your battery, and in turn your gun.
