Thing has been up on G&P's website for like a year and a half, so any progress is good progress.
On a side note, was reading an article about SEALs in Vietnam and usually the patrol commander would not allow the Stoner 63 gunner to shoot unless SHTF because every NLF/VC would know instantly that they were facing SEALs and not just reg grunts. It had a very particular sound when firing and since every SEAL in Vietnam had a bounty on his head, it was more prudent to hold off firing. This also leads me to believe that SEALs would use Type 56's more often then other SF units, since it would mask identification by sound.
