I've seen more than one "363mm" (M4A1 length) TK barrel shoot like a wet dream at 400fps. I do believe that most of the consistency (which = accuracy) comes from the mechbox and hopup unit/rubber....and the tightbore just helps that show through. I'd bet a Timmys that those rifles would be great guns as well with "regular" 6.04mm tightbores.

Don't know about you guys...but I get dirt and sh*t on my stuff when I play. We're regularly going prone and "dig in" to leaves/scrub to get even lower. That usually means that there's plenty of crap in my mag pouches...and I'd rather err on the side of lower risk of a jam than a bit more accuracy.

We've played a couple of games this year where it was 300rnds for the whole day milsim and the only resupplies were a bag or two of BBs that we could "convince" the partisans to give us....they jammed my FAL (6.03mm tightbore) and my SAW (6.08mm regular) and PTW on two different games. And since I'm not carrying a cleaning rod (d'oh!) and there's no stopping, I ended up using a long twig to clear out the barrel and feed path (saw).

I'm not sure, maybe Scarecrow or someone else can chime in, but I'd bet that BBs swell a bit...or at the very least pick up more crap...if they get wet. Rain or shine...the milsims are on. In 2 of the 3 last ones we were soaking wet laid up in ambushes while it just poured down on us. Accuracy goes down the pooper if your bbs and barrels are wet anyways.

I'd rather retain the ability to keep shooting...rather than squeeze out a little bit more accuracy. All my guns can easy shoot between 300-450fps with simple 30sec changes...so squeezing out 10fps more isn't an issue. As long as accuracy is good...improving the odds of making those really clutch shots can be improved by simply moving into a better position.

Consistency = accuracy
