little over 1km. I know it isn't great, but these are mainly for CQB and inter-unit radios. They don't run on the typical UHF/VHF, they run on a wireless LAN system thats more secure than UHF/VHF....

I second this, but beware the size restraints on the hyration bladder "pocket". It won't fit the 3L Hyrdastorms(Blackhawk), but it will fit the Camelbak Hotshot 2L & 3L very nicely.
