The KJW KP-05 is pretty far from how a Marui MEU (1911 / single stack series) goes together, although, the parts (once all assembled) do operate and are located in similar proximity to each other. The KP-05 is more like a Marui Hi-Capa. The general design (and even the magazine size) dictates that it's a High-Capacity. The above photo is of a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa. |
wow thank you for taking a pic to show me what to see. is it easier to assembly upside on a table like that?

When I'm assembling Hi-Capas in my hand, I use my hands to manipulate it so that it looks exactly as it's shown, upright, with the hammer strut out of the way, beavertail removed - it gives the clearest view of the leaf spring assembly. Many users say "I have it installed just like your picture", but when they bring it to me and I look at it... it's NOT like the picture. The middle prong is under the sear 90% of the time. It's difficult to see that unless the beavertail (grip) safety is removed. |
thank you again. i finally got it all together and painted and everything.

Great picture though, Brian. Very clear and gets the point across in ways that words can't accomplish. You should post that somewhere in your FAQ post, if you haven't already. |
