BTW, at the CAPS tourny many seems to be interested in the VFC PEQ15 I had....at the moment at least it seems to be available at RW and RA-T.....just a heads up, I guess...

My review to it from handling it on RM's rifle. It's a sick ass thing to have. It's really a must have if you don't have a laser and light. Every function on the PEQ-15 works. The build and quality feels so right, nothing can compare to it, except the real one.. lol

I am been thinking about adding one of these to my rifle for a while now. Are the quality of the laser and light decent? or is it really just a prop?

Is the laser legitimately adjustable?

Hmm, I think I just might have to pick one up!

Would look so hot on top of my G&P Sentry >.>

Has anyone seen them for any cheaper then the $80 redwolf wants?

I was looking at this earlier today, does the remote pad trigger both the light and laser at once? Wondering if I have the option of using 1 or other b/c I hear some setups only turns on both and not one or the other.

I forgot how it was, the pad has top and bottom seperate buttons, and you can control which setting, laser + light, laser only, light only on the dial, with both on, the pad has 2 buttons, one for laser and one for light I think? I totally forgot. lol

The rotary switch order is like this: laser-off-light-laser-both. The switch clicks. The laser is adjustable for windage and elevation(does not click), I wouldn't trust it to hold zero on GBBR, but it might be alright for AEG, or if you glue it once you zero it, lol. The light is 120 Lumen LED. The touchpad is a momentary switch, holding it keeps the unit on(for whatever mode the rotary is at), let it go its off. The touch button on PEQ box itself is constant on-off switch for whatever mode the rotary switch is at....

This one does and more besides, however the price is prohibitive and I doubt the IR laser would have a low enough output to be "eye-safe". NOT something I'd want my eyes potentially exposed to during a night game...

Why are IR lasers always so expensive? UNFAIR :(
Anyway, IR lasers I've seen are typically 5 or 8mw
It's probably more damaging to get flashed by a 200 lumen flashlight at night than get buzzed for a split second with a 5mw beam
However, you can make peoples eyeballs go pop with the 8mw if your aiming for eyes

Shirley January 9th, 2010 03:56

What's the point of even having an IR laser when most airsofters can't afford NVGs. LOL
