battery Help
Hey everyone, ive got some questions about batteries.
So im looking for a new battery, once my AKs-74u is upgraded, whcih will be abel to support a Lipo, or 12V with no problem. So Im looking into a 10.8V Stick type, but when i go to "build my own", some of the batteries are 4000Mah. With 9 cells, wouldnt that make it a Massive battery? like 10k+ Mah? Also, what gauge wiring should i get? And for my Stock Dboys/Cyma AKS-74u, what connector is on here? Small tamiya female? Or male? Or the airsoft Version? http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/tst...p?sid=2051408# thanks in advance! |
mAh rating is total, not combined. So any battery made with 4000mAh cells will be 4000mAh.
Also, a 4000mAh battery would be made with large cells...minis don't go that high. Max for minis is about 1500mAh. Look for 2/3A cells to make a stick pack for an AK, not Sub-C (SC) cells. Get 18 gauge wiring. Your stock gun would have a male mini-Tamiya connector. So you'd need a female airsoft mini-Tamiya on the battery. But I'd recommend changing both to deans. |
Oh, okay, thank-you. so any 2/3 Cell will do. Any idea about the wires and connector?

Read the post more carefully :p

You so Changed that :P just kidding
Not sure i have the Means to get Deans right now, maybe in the future, im just getting a 10.8V mostly for the trigger response anyways, so ROF isnt that big of a deal. |

I know, but i understand Deans would also help that. I like the Idea of getting the hit, with 1 or 2 BB's, rather than 30 :P But that doenst ALWAYS work, so it will come out occasionally.

Oh okay. I thought you were saying "I'll have a good trigger response but I don't want a high ROF so it's OK that I won't"
Misunderstood! |
Hahaha, the two go hand in hand :P Hopefully after my upgrades are done, ill also have alot better range and accuracy, it's going to be a Mean 74u.
