007 Airsoft guns "Not For Civillians"

Well, on 007 Airsoft, they got the gun i want badly, i can't get AV yet, because i'm 16, so i want to buy a gun from 007 Airsoft. The gun i want is a CA36/G36 and in the price bar is written "Not for civillian" , but I will join the Army Reserve in september , so will i be able to buy it?

PS. What do you guy's think of the CA36?

Bowers May 17th, 2009 00:40

why not email him and ask?

surebet May 17th, 2009 00:43

The whole not for civilian thing is just him being a huge cocktease.

Unfortunately, the model you want isn't openly sold outside of the classifieds.

The good news, in two years you can get it from 450$.

wait... I'm seeing guys encouraging an underager to go ahead and buy a black gun....

Am I dreaming here?

And on a side note. Ken won't special order any black guns anymore. You can go ask, but he wont get you any unfortunately.

I think you may be missing the point when the site mentions
"are only available for the theatrical business and the law enforcement / military industry."
Law enforcement and the military use replica airsoft rifles for training. So even though you are joining the army reserve, you are still 16 and won't be able to purchase that for your own recreational use.

Dart May 17th, 2009 01:19

Just talked to him today actually about this.

FIrst off you require a restricted item license *or something of that I forget the actual name* secondly he is actually required by law to keep track of this gun.

I am looking at joining RCMP and even with me being a Member of RCMP I could not buy it. Now the training center could buy it but than it would be for *surprise surprise* TRAINING. Hence not civilian use.

On a side note, people that bought these as movie props and are selling them are technicaly going against the law... actually anyone selling a second hand black gun to someone else is going against the law.

But honestly people how many times does this have to be repeated on the board, I have just started on ASC and have seen a post of this nature more than I care to count.

You guys must be the type of people that even though your mom says the stove is hot, you don't learn until you burn your fingers.

Q: NOT FOR CIVILIAN? What? Why?
A: Fully colored Airsoft guns are Replica Firearms in Canada, and they are PROHIBITED to be sold to civilians. Here at 007 Airsoft, we deal in Non-Replica Airsoft guns (Airsoft guns with clear bodies) for civilians. Make no mistake though, as our clear bodied Airsoft guns are not the regular low-quality products you might see from other websites. Our products are of top quality, from the makers of the best Airsoft products around the world.

Good news: The CA36 is an awesome gun. I love mine.

Bad news: You can't get it before you are 18. No way around it.

AngelusNex May 17th, 2009 08:59

I have an Idea, I say buy it from the classifieds for cheaper when you're 18 and age verified.

Beat me to the punch.

It is an awesome AEG and I'm sure by the time you can get AV'd, there will be a couple more on the market.

If it makes you feel any better I was in you shoes too, and was shooting in the reserves before i even got to handle an aeg.

Dart May 17th, 2009 11:31

the real steal ak47's are cheaper, and probably easier to find than the AEGS....

I also shot real before I shot an aeg... been shooting .22's since I was 12, and shot a glock at the firing range in edmonton mall.

Is it just me or is canada stricter on airsoft than real guns, a firing range in a mall... yet I bet you could never get an airsoft field in the mall :)

*they even have a paintball field there*

I'd think it's mainly because to go and buy a real steel gun you have to get a license, have it registered and so forth so it's pretty hard for Johny 14 Year Old to get one, while on the other hand he could get a clearsoft AEG from crappytire rather easily.

And yea, I've fired and gotten qualified on LMG's, AR's, pyro and explosives before ever picking up an AEG. :)
