Airsoft Claymore

I saw a claymore device on CapitalAirsoft.ca and was wondering about them in general. Are they reliable? Who makes them and how available are they? Can they be imported? If there's multiple companies that produce them which is the one to get?

I'd love to get one of these things but just want to make sure I'm not going to have a headache fixing them after a few games.

Cheers,
Rick

does anyone at least know if it is legal to import an airsoft claymore device?

panzergrenadier May 15th, 2009 19:11

It's probably not legal to Import... it's a replica of a High Powered Explosive...

this is what I figured but since some places like capital airsoft stock them I thought that maybe, just maybe it could squeak through. Unfortunately Capital is out of stock at the moment.

Yeah... I'd just get someone who can import them to get you one... much safer that way

I have one, the full brand name is Supercell ASC7 Claymore. I got it from 007 about a year ago, not sure if the Capital Airsoft one is the same brand however.

Is it any good?
I've also been thinking about getting a Claymore (too bad it won't be as fun as blowing a real one ;) )

I also own one of the ASC7's. I think they continue to refine their design each time they put one out, but I'venot had a chance to compare mine to Sams for an accurate idea of what the differences are.

They're fairly decent pieces of equipment, but a bit overpriced.

I actually found two videos I did that review the mine. get in touch with me via PM and i can send them to you.

so far I've come across three different models, the one that capital airsoft stocks (not sure the actual brand name) and the ASC7 are by far the more common ones, but there was another website that stocked a third model that had a wireless detonator that was standard, I can't remember the brand name of that either, it wasn't cheap though. But of all three it looked the best.
