Mad Bull Dark Knight .25 Tracer BB Review

These tracers are awesome. I finally got a chance to play an indoor game with them and got a video firing a full mag. I've been using them for a couple of outdoor games in my regular mix to get a feel for them and to see how they differ from Bastard's or Metal Techs. They don't. I find them virtually identical to BB Bastard .25's. I haven't tried them (knowingly at least) against the Mad Bull .25g Precision IPSC Grade BB's.

Video below is with a stock TM AK spetsnaz (245fps w/.25's) with a Mad Bull 229mm TB, TM tracer unit (gen1)

If the room had been completely dark, you'd have been able to see them ricochet against the rear wall. The guys I was shooting at during the game said they continued to glow for quite some time after then landed on the ground.

Try a smear test with them. Get a piece of construction paper and smear the BB across it... I've heard of madbull BB's leaving an awful amount of residue (this will also get left in your barrel)

Being on the receiving end of these a few times last night they do glow for quite some time after being shot and not only that the tracer effect is much brighter than others that i have seen i was defintly impressed and am thinking of getting a tracer unit myself now

there is a little bit of markings when the smear test is done. the madbull TB is still clean. The guys last night can tell you that I went through plenty of round too. :D I do use a mix of tracers and regulars (bastards/metal techs) though so the regulars might be helping keep the barrel clean.

I will confirm this sometime the next week or two when I break the AK down to install a Modify s90 spring.

upon breaking down my AK to install the new spring, I noticed there was a very small amount of residue closer to the hopup unit. Little to none at the muzzle end. One swipe with a cleaning rod/strips of a rag and it was clean.

I have a feeling that the coating that Mad Bull uses helps prevent residue from building up and is slick enough to allow easy cleaning.
