VFC MEU Metal kit released

Any retailers able to bring this in ? I'm a buyer for sure, I mean look at the price tag and we're talking about VFC here. Not sure how this could be but I was impressed with most of their products so far.

It's cast + CNC engraving just so you know. But yea price is very good.

I've had metal pistols for the past 3-4 years.
Since I've grabbed the 1911 and the MEU, I can honestly say I don't really see the need to go back, performance increase just isn't there, even though it's a purely aesthetic thing and that slide looks rad.

Maybe for a good price........

What exactly do you mean by "go back"?

Yeah if the pricetag was reasonable... I'd love to see those in Canada

While I slightly prefer those markings on the slide, I dislike the barrel and prefer picking my own upgrade parts. VFC also makes top notch products, so all else being equal I'd go with them... but this one is twice the price, and would be ridiculously overpriced on the Canadian market. Specially since I'd end up not using half the parts.

CNC versus Cast...

Cast stuff has MANY imperfections in the metal where CNC has very few...

CNC will be MUCH stronger... not to mention the tolerances will be much, much tighter.

Go back meaning, I use plastic pistols now instead of Full metal units.

Cast or Cast+CNC finished parts are extremely common in the airsoft world, probably the most common for metal parts. Some like Guarder, KA and VFC are very good quality, some like second tier Chinese products are very poor. The difference between a GP or Guarder aluminum die-cast receiver and a DBoys white metal cast receiver is night and day.

I've seen (and own) VFC (formerly GB-Tech) products, the quality of their aftermarket products has never come into question. So I have some faith in what they're putting out.

That being said, it's quite possible the CNC'd version will be nicer. But the difference will be small enough to not warrant the almost double pricetag, specially given Canadian markup, and specially since part of that price comes from additional components I'll be buying elsewhere (namely a stainless chamber & barrel).



@Beazer: I don't think I could go back to plastic now. It's just not the same. Whatever plastic I have left has fallen into disuse and I'm finding myself slowly selling it all off, minus a few exceptions where it doesn't matter too much or where there's enough metal for me not to notice too much.

I have to admit the markings on the PGC makes it look much more authentic for a MEU or MFR loadout but if someone could bring in either of those I'd be buying. I'm just tired of having my old school 1911 markings and my plastic frame and slide.

The finish for the VFC kit is kinda meh.....

Even at twice the cost the PGC kit is quite cheap compare to Nova, and apparently back in their 1911 days they need no real fitting work, where as Nova's 1911 kit is a bitch to fit...(though awesome after fitted, rattle and play free).

That finish is crappy...

I had zero problems installing my Nova kit. It was a direct drop-in fit for me...

Looks like they went right over the engraved SPRINGFIELD CUSTOM.
