My WW2 US (SPR) Ranger Impression
5 Attachment(s)
Hello I have some pics from a game played last week where I took my new WW2 loadout for a spin.
What do you guys think? All the kit comes from Soldier of Fortune in the UK (they helped me with the picking of the kit) and the AEG is a VFC BAR. I painted the orange diamond and "2" myself on the helmet. This is my first real attempt at full on WW2 impression in one go (the Panzer Grenadier load-out was built up over time) thanks, |
how much did all the gear set you back?
|
Kick ass! That BAR looks like a beautiful gun!
|
Great picture shots!
|
Dear god that's a gorgeous kit you got there! The BAR makes me quite envious, what a nice looking AEG
|
very nice
|
You look badass, very nice kit.
|
Thanks guys!
The gear was nearly £300 (580 C$ ?), you dont want to know what the BAR cost.... |
the BAR looks nice
|
the gear master strikes again!
you should make Bio cards for all your setups, with little backgrounds |

Great gun! don't see BARs too much |
Oh my FUCKING GOD I WANT THAT BAR

The BAR is quickly becoming my favourite AEG that I own, it comes in at half the weight of the actual BAR and is really solid: no plastic, all metal and wood.
I have to admit I had some teething problems with it though. When I got it the cylinder seals had burst so it was firing at only 165 fps and the inner barrel was too short so the BB's would occasionally hit the rim of the muzzle and apray all over the place. I had the cylinder repaired and a Marui PSG1 sniper rifle barrel put in, and it now fires like a dream! by far the most accurate and long ranged of my Airsofts. The 190 rnd magazines unfortunately are 39 USD a pop (I have 4), but that is a minor quibble. |
Great impression.

I would do unmentionable things to own that BAR. Very well done kit
