Do you really need two threads for same subject?

Anyways, if you dont want your items damaged, dont field them.
Aside from that you could always spray clear coating over everything and that could absorb some of the brunt of nicks and scratches.
If you are that vain about it, buy some replacement parts.

Just wow... Are you serious. I mean wtf, gun's look better aged/weathered.

Styrak July 29th, 2008 10:14

OH NOES! Your equipment shows some wear from use! How tragic!

ColtFarmer July 29th, 2008 10:17

Dood. I don't know what you're talking about. I can slash my buffer tube with my SOG SEII, and the blade will literally slide off. No scratches, a little scuff, but you get scuffs from your stock!

Anyway, if you're afraid of popping the cherry on your baby, leave'r at home and use a POS DBOYS M4. lol..

Qlong July 29th, 2008 13:50

Or you can buy another buffer tube.

jtjcheng July 29th, 2008 13:51

I'm afraid of scratches too, but you can't avoid it on the battlefield.

The true situation is that your life is more important than your guns.

I clean and maintain my guns well, both internally and externally, not during the games, but before and after the games.

Gunk July 29th, 2008 14:11

I'm afraid of scratch marks on my...

... errm... back! Yeah... that's the one...

Seriously though... repaint it... you'll probably never notice the scratches, but some people do paint schemes that make the gun look ten years old and beat to hell...

Lemme guess, you pop your mandarian style collar on your BDU's too?

C'mon man... you're complaining about a SCRATCH! It happens to every gun that is fielded at EVERY field by EVERY player on the WHOLE freaking planet!

It's a scratch! Who the fuck cares?

Answer: No one here.
