When i bought this gun yesterday the owner said it was a TM. When i checked to make sure the motor was a Shaung Bo? Its commenly used in JG weapons. Did the guy lie to me? :P DID i get owned? Is there any other way I can tell? I want to know.

Styrak July 15th, 2008 12:46

Could have been changed. But if it's a stock TM the motor should be a TM EG700.

Hmm. Im not sure. Maybe he wanted to rip me off? If it was a jg was it a good deal for 200$?

Yep, TM for $200 would not be realistic. For JG is normal to good price.

Styrak July 15th, 2008 12:56

Yes that's a good deal. It should also say Tokyo Marui on the receiver if it's an actual TM. Which it sounds like it isn't.

baker_Jeff July 15th, 2008 12:57

$200 is a good deal no matter what the brand.. that's what Aftermath shitboxes sell for new.

ccssneo July 15th, 2008 12:58

Sorry for this noobie question but were is the reciever? :D

dpvu July 15th, 2008 12:58

That's still a pretty good deal. It depends on the condition but if it's in good shape and works, $200 is still not bad. I believe TM MP5s have "Tokyo Marui" stamped somewhere on the receiver but you'll have to get someone with a TM MP5 to confirm that. The receiver is the body of the gun. If I'm not mistaken the TM mark should be on the right side above the fire selector switch.

It's dishonest to call it a TM when it's not but he may not have known himself.

ccssneo July 15th, 2008 13:00

Its in extremely good condition. He only used it one to test fire befor he sell to me. He only collected airsoft guns as a hobby he never had games. It was like his GUNDAM MODELS!

Crunchmeister July 15th, 2008 13:06

If it has the H&K trades on it, then chances are it's a TM. TM will also have their own brand on the gun somewhere, as well as an ASGK stamp. If it's devoid of any markings whatsoever, then you have a JG. My JG has no trademarks of any kind. The only marking is "Made in China" on the grip plate.

That being said, $200 is a good price for a JG if it's in good condition. But if he claims it's a TM, then you did get lied to.

ccssneo July 15th, 2008 13:06

I dont know if its a reciever but that metal thing beside the mag release is blank.

The trademark says U0507101407

Also it has copper barrel and silencer is removable.

Maybe it's worse than a JG? (Not saying JG's are bad). Then he really lied to you.

ccssneo July 15th, 2008 13:10

Worse......... NOO it cant be. I have to check everywere for a MADE IN CHINA EDIT: I FOUND IT YES!! I THINK ITS A JG SWEET!

dpvu July 15th, 2008 13:15

I'd still be pretty happy with $200. I'd keep it and if you really insist, confront the seller for like a $25 refund or something.
