Where can I find one of them hi-cap mags for my L96?

I've seen a few of them in pictures and videos, but where oh where can I find them?

Best of my knowledge no such thing exists.

If you could post a link to what you're referring to, it might help.

I don't think any exist. The L96 mag isn't exactly designed shaped well for that. Besides, why would you want a hi-cap on a bolt-action rifle?

Look at this you non-believers! lol

Type 96 Disassembly and PDI Hop-Up Assembly on Yahoo! Video

Although mine isn't a Maruzen..

That's a custom mod to make it look like it has an extended magazine situated in a spot that would resemble the real steel. If you look at the video again or reference any number of photos of the Maruzen Type96 (or it's clones), you will see the actual mag well sits quite a ways in front of where that guy has modded the stock on his.

Also for future reference; not all "larger mags" are called Hi-caps. Hi-caps are commonly accepted to be high capacity magazines which requires the forced feeding of the bb's via a manual mechanism (Ex. winding wheel, electric motor etc.).

However if you want a Type 96'esque rifle which does have the sexiness of an extended magazine, then look at the Tanaka AICS. It's a gas powered rifle which means the mag and the firing mechanism can actually sit in a spot closer to where the real steel would have the mag.
