Sig552 to Sig550 conversion

well i have a sig552. its literally my baby. anyways, after briefly owning a G3SG1, and really enjoying the range and gameplay of it, id like to convert my mainly CQB primary into my long range outdoor secondary.

The only difference between the 552 and 550 is the area between the body and the front iron sights.

does anyone know where I can get these parts? has anyone done this before?

also for future reference can someone tell me the barrel length and cylinder type needed for the 550?

you wont get any conversion parts easily at all...you're better off just buying a JG SiG 550 like I did. That way you can carry both :). You can buy a JG SG550 for $88 on gunnerairsoft.com. It comes with a 9.6v battery and does 350 fps right out f the box, so it will actually out perform our SiG552's lol. I am actually waiting on mine to arrive, so I'll tell you how it is before you make a decision.

Gundam......youve been flamed for this kind of stuff before man. Canadian consumers can't import guns. Ever. End of story.

What the hell; why are you on a Canadian site without knowing Canadian laws?
Read them or GTFO.

As for the OP, Sig parts are pretty hard to find but who knows, if you look around you might get lucky.

Just giving him advise...if you don't like what I write then don't read it.

Gigaknight July 11th, 2008 00:14

Do you not realize that you advice is only useful for people living in countries where they have easy access to airsoft guns? You can get it for $88 whereas we get it for what, maybe $250-300; it may work for you, but not everyone wants to dish out that kind of money for something as simple as that.

diamond_SEA, unless you can find replacement parts on redwolf, etc, you're better off buying a second gun.

LOL^10 *Advice* is only good when its useful. Yours is not, I'm afraid.

I believe TM use to make the 550. Maybe someone has some parts sitting around that they could sell you.

If you edit out "You can buy a JG SG550 for $88 on gunnerairsoft.com.", then his post is excellent, so if you're flaming him, please go to bed, you're obviously up too late.

GundamGP03, please just keep in mind for the next time you post that everything that looks like a gun part or a whole gun will cost 2-5 times as much in Canada as it does where you live.
