can retailers import stuff for you

Hi,

I was curious if a retailor would help me out. I would like to buy some guns from evike.com and i was curious if a retailer would import them for me(I'll pay for everything). Please PM if you can help me out. Thanks

not for you...

None of the retailers will deal with you unless you are age verified. Once you are, they might be able to help you out. Why Evike in particular?

pusangani May 10th, 2008 15:07

basically how it works, is you need to be 18 years or older and age verified her on ASC, then if you see something you like on whatever site, you can gain access to retailers and ask them if it is possible for them to get it for you, you cannot use a retailer to buy from another site, what's in it for them?

The Saint May 10th, 2008 15:10

Pusangani, all the retailers in the classifieds buy from other retailers. Being supplied by another retailer doesn't exclude markup and profit.

I'll ask my mom if she will buy them in her name and I will pay for them myself, if that is possible of course. The reason I want to go through Evike is they have very good prices and plenty of choices.

there will still be a mark up by the retailer and it will still be canadian prices ( read: about twice the price)

Because of the difficulties involved in importing airsoft guns into Canada, it's unlikely that retailers would go through the trouble of dealing with Evike (which has a poor rep) to supply a minor with airsoft guns, even if your mother approves.

If you make a special order from a retailer for a gun, you will pay the RETAILER'S price. It doesn't matter if the gun is $100 on evike, wgc, redwolf, etc. Whatever it costs there, expect to pay anywhere from 3-4 times that price here in Canada. There's no getting around it. It doesn't matter what online site you find the gun on. You're going to end up paying the Canadian price for it.

thanks, that's what I was trying to get at, but your explanation was clearer :)

1) shopping around outside of canada is irrelivant. prices are ~x3 the price here.
2) most retailers order from the wholesalers (redwolf, UNC, and WGC). Buying from evike through another retalier would ruin that entirely.
3) do not get your mom to buy it for you.
4) be over 18 and get age verified.
5) read the stickies.

I cannot stress the last two. mostly because 3 years ago I almost orders $1k of guns from evike, untill i stumbled upon this site, read like crazy, and promptly cancelled all ideas of ordering anything airsoft.

Making a long story short, once your age-verified, most retailers here will special order you a particular item if they dont already have them in stock. Getting what you want is not as terrible as you thing if you have the $.

Ha, Evike, the absolute worst retailer ever! I've purchased from them 3 times, first time it was missing parts promised, did nothing about it, 2nd time same thing, and this last time they sent me an email WEEKs after i had paid for it saying that its not instock. Needless to say i've learnt my lesson.
Avoid them at all cost.

order from red dragon airsoft cant go wrong with them;)

youll even get a free bunny suit on orders over 100 dollars lol

Bottom line buddy, until your 18 you are SOL. No one here will help a child get a gun even if its in mommy dearest name. Wait till your 18 and can enjoy the sport to its fullest.
