Need help with upgrading Crosman StingerR72, with a metal gearbox

I have recently purchased a Crosman R72, that has a plastic gearbox, I have been told that the gearbox on these does not last to long. So I am looking for a FULL METAL replacement gearbox. I was wondering if a version 2 spec metal gearbox with EG 1000 motor is the right kind. If it is could some one give me a link to where I might be able to purchase one or if it is not the right kind could someone please give me the right kind of gearbox. Thank You

as far as i know, Crosman guns are 100% non-compatible with aftermarket upgrades. your sorta SOL on this.

This is why investing $300+ on a gun is a good idea, when it breaks, parts are easy to find instead of throwing out crap gun, but $100 is $100.

Well I was on YouTube and i found a video on how to upgrade the R72 or G3 with a metal gearbox. The trouble is that i cannot find a site that ships to Canada.

What sites?

You cant find a website that will ship a gear box to Canada?
Revise your search methods, also you may want to look at ebay as well.
A mechbx is not a restricted item and you should be able to order one in with no issues. As for if its compatable, I cant confirm that. Im assuming there will be modifacation required if it is.

if you have patience and lots of cash, you can do anything lol

Okay I will try revising my searches, thanks for all the responses. And if I cant find a metal gearbox for this I will purchase a MP-7 off of buyairsoft.ca :P
