Sealing GBB Mags
 

They say that leaky gas gun magazine seals can be fixed by soaking them in 100% pure silicone oil for a day or so. If you are desparate, soak them instead in radiator stop-leak fluid or something similar - this will cause the seals to swell. Wipe them off and try it. Consider using some teflon tape as well (white film-like tape used to seal threads on compressed gas fittings). To prevent your seals from going bad, keep them lubed lightly and always store your magazines with a shot or two’s worth of gas in them.

I never heard of soaking the mag in oil Can't tell you how it works makes sense though.

I ordered some high flow valves and I will try using some teflon tape when I put them in.

I Knew about keeping some gas in the mag to keep the seals good.

what it does is re-hydrate your rubber O-rings in a way, fattens them up.

I always keep gas in my KJ mags, and other mags too. Cause my KJ mags suck and will start to leak if I leave them empty for more that a few minutes (seriously). So I usually keep my mags full or half full.

If your mags leak, go to a plumber store or a seal dealer.

That's what I do.

New seals are better than reconditionnig old ones.

Automotive gasket maker form Canadian Tire is what I use, have fixed a good couple of dozen mags with it when leaks from the bottom and never had a failure. Keep gas in the mag always, no matter what, unless shipping via air.
