Gernades??

I was watching some airsoft videos and saw ppl playing with gernades... But what are they really??
Are they flashbangs? Fire Crackers? Or what I saw on YouTube an Airsoft gernade made of a plastic easter egg filled with bbs and a firecracker.. Cool Idea :D

TokyoSeven February 1st, 2008 20:02

Well simply put, they are whatever your imagination can make,
In most cases a shell to hold the bbs and a charge inside to blow the shell apart spreading the bbs, there are many designs, Ive made some with balloons, some out of cardboard, essentially as long as I was commited enough I could turn anything paper or cardboard in my apartment into a grenade.

Yeah I saw more vids on paper too, but do ppl get pissed or don't like when gernades are used?

Well of course, for more reasons than one as well. They can be very loud, especially indoors. Its possible to have bodily harm done, for many reasons, some people sometimes thinks its a good idea to pick up a live airsoft grenade and throw it back but are not always quick enough.

Usually, if you want to use them, you will have to clear it with everyone else before the game starts.

And well wouldnt you be jelous if someone else had a cool advantage over you? I know I would be.

The MAA has rules for grenades limiting their decibal level.
Other than that, pretty well anything goes. Explosive grenades are the best, but nobody makes them in mass quantities anymore.

I saw that RedWolf has some grenades and I saw a couple videos. Are they any good and how many times can you use them?

Watch for Airsoft-innovations' reusable 'nade. I think they'll release them soon, and from what I've heard, they really rock.

Ok thanks, (sorry by the way for 'thread jacking' or whatever they call it :p ) maybe I'll just wait for those to come out.

Worth the wait

I've been involved with prototype testing... there is NOTHING like the AI grenade out there.

its what you are looking for

bojangles February 2nd, 2008 16:25

i have made grenades out of m80's and lead shot before. it was dove season so me and my buddys tried to kill some doves with these things.

their simple to make, just dip an m80 into liquid wax then roll it in lead shot and repeat. i supose you could use this concept for airsoft, substitute airsoft bbs instead of lead shot, but it wouldn't be very safe.

GREnade. If you're using gernades, they're probably nucular.

*snort* HA!

The AI grenade is called the "TornadeO" I think? Brian, Bartek or Carl can confirm this. but not matter what it is called it fucking rocks!

How can a grenade be reuseable? The only way I can think of is if you picked up the pieces afterwards, which is kinda lame + you might not even find them.

I agree, these AI gernades sound too good to be true! MacGiver for Prime Minister.

The AI grenade from what I understand has no parts that fly off.
