king arms troy cqb a3-- just got it.

just got the new king arms aeg. let me say it looks amazing. so far i've found 2 issues, but then again i'm just nit picking. the stock and buffer tube could be a little more snug, and the selector switch is a bit tight, but other than that it's pretty damn nice. i took a few pics. nothing special, just thought i'd share

i plugged in a 11.1 v lipo loaded up the mag, and took a few shots, i was only hitting a box 10 feet away but the sound was awesome!!! nice and deep. i stuck it in auto and let er rip. once again, impressive. can't wait to game it tomorrow, and see it's performance.

oh and the action of the bolt is really cool. pull the bolt back, the door pops open, and a polished piece slides back and reveals the hop up. on the other side of the gun, there is a button, push it, the polished piece pops back over the hop up, and then u gotta put the door back manually.

i'll put up more pics and maybe do a better review.

I'm buying a KA body and KA handguard. How is that handguard doing on there? Does it wobble? Does it feel fragile?

No offense to you sir, but I'm not a fan of that longer stock. Looks kinda goofy to me.

AngelusNex January 20th, 2008 13:06

I love that longer one, it's exactly what I wanna make for my US Marine loadout.

swatt13 January 20th, 2008 13:38

that long stock looks great. and the m4 looks great too.

HELLFIRE989 January 20th, 2008 14:14

Good to hear I have one of these coming this week.

Beowulfe January 20th, 2008 14:28

I am looking forward to your review. Very nice!

Hectic January 20th, 2008 14:47

Very nice and the rifle stock looks awesome too is it the short or long version?(the real steel has two versions with 5/8 of an inch difference), but aren't Lipo batts dangerous in high drain devices?
Also wouldn't 11.1 volts burn out a stock AEG?
Sorry kind of off topic.

Very Nice!!

Reminds me of my CA CQB

His KA TROY M4 CQB is not stock. Where did you get the info why Li-Po battery is dangerous ? Other players are already using 11.1v Li-Po for awhile now.

Held and toyed with it for a bit at the game today and what I can say its a great gun performed flawlessly straight out of the box. Acquiring the same TROY M4 in a few weeks. :p

If you're referring the the Troy -style handguard on the M4, I have the 10" version and it's incredibly solid. It mounts exactly like the real Troy one: barrel nut tightens down on the barrel to hold it in place, then upper 3/4 of the handguard fits over it and a clamp is screws into it, locking it to the barrel nut. The lower rail then slides into place and locks onto the lower clamp which has a spring-loaded pin to keep the rail in place.

It really feels like one massive chunk with the upper receiver.

I plan on getting a 7" one soon.

Sorry for the slight threadjack, OP

the gun is awesome.

i'm talking about the smaller one. by the way. the bigger one is my damage custom spr. and if anyone wants the stock of the bigger one, i'm selling it with battery and charger combo http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=50782

anyways, i got it just in time for the games today, and it was awesome. i used a firefox 11.1 v 1200 mah lipo, which lasted all day. i went through a bag and a half of bb's (auto). the gun has a very high rof, and it's range is pretty impressive. only problem i had today was with the mags. the magwell is very tight, and with so many mag changes it slowed me down a bit. did i mention it devours hi cap mags?

the lipo battery's are safe. if you don't take care of them, or your guns, they will get damaged.

i'll do a proper review after i get the internals looked at some time this week.

IMO -if you're looking for a small beast in a m4 package. get one.
