so you are right, and ya, it looks like it does have blowback, but the description has 8.4 in it, im assuming a battery voltage. An EBB perhaps?

From what I have read MN stands for "Modernized" weapon. I don't know if they mean that the 1991 ak74 real weapon was modernized and this is a Airsoft replica of that or just a Modernized replica of an ak74 using TM innovation. Pretty sure it is the latter.
"The most notable feature that has been added to this NEW model is the "recoil engine", which gives the gun a recoil and the bolt moves back and forth too. It also boasts an Aluminum receiver, which is a nice addition; within the receiver you will find a Newly-designed Mechbox. To add to that, the Magazine are of a completely new design also, so the standard Marui AK Mags can not be used with this gun, you will need to get the appropriate Marui mags for this gun. The stock is a folding one and the length of the gun is 700mm with it folded and 943mm extended." |
Yeah, I wasn't impressed with how the recoil (or lack thereof) system worked.

The AK-74M externally differs from the AK-74 of late 1980s production by the side-folding, solid black plastic buttstock and by the scope rail, mounted on the left receiver as as a standard. Some minor improvements also were made in the production process and external finish of the new rifle. http://world.guns.ru/assault/as02-e.htm |
That bolt travel sucks.

Odd that its an N though, since as far as I know, all AK-74Ms and up (AK 100 series) have optical rails anyway. Thus I don't think the AK-74MN exists. Although maybe if you had an actual NV optic on it...
