Importing an Entire Slide
Hi there fellow airsofters. I know metal slides are OK to import, but what about an entire complete slide? Metal slide, metal barrel, inner barrel, piston, sights, and markings?
Anyone had experience with this? |
Probably just get seized. I don't think a customs officer would treat it any differently.
|
But why is it OK to import slides then?

AFAIK slides, frames, receivers, and mags w/ fake rounds are all on the watch list. I'm not 100% sure, but this is to the best of my understanding. |

That was actually useful Frozencricket.
Since the slide I want has a barrel length of 114mm, I should be OK. |
The best way to confirm is to contact the Border Information Service and ask.
|
I highly doubt you'll be able to import something like that.
|
I recieved mine (slide and outer barrel) it was clearly marked on the customs forms what it was, it was opened at customs held for around 5 days then sent on to me.

Receivers are the critical part, those get seized/destroyed. Slides, even with a barrel inside, should not be an issue since you can import the real thing...

how's the customs fee on slides? are they outrageous :D ?
|
I don't know the laws good enough to say what's legal/illegal. If your concerned, contact Jugglez at Airsoftparts.ca. He brought me in a metal body/slide/barrel for my P226 without problem. And he is an amazingly quick reply to e-mails etc.
