Police in airsoft ?

Are they any police officer among you guys ? Just wondering, could be seen as a stupid question but with all the legal stuff going around airsoft every now and then I just could'nt help but to wonder.

As for paintball, here in Quebec paintball Mirabel hosts a game named Challenge of the heroes (sort of translated it from french) which police officers, emt's firefighters and even MPs are invited.

Hedonism Bot June 8th, 2007 18:24

No, but there are a few that think they're police.

redhawk_six June 8th, 2007 18:25

Police officers aren't allowed to play games like airsoft and paintball.

maybe not in canada - but down here in Utah USA there are quite a few that do

Can you please post your source of reference? Just want to see it for myself.

NachoPuddin June 8th, 2007 18:31

Technically RCMP and other officers aren't allowed to play under some officer behavior code. Some still do, but you never know. Know that i think about it, its something like activities unbecoming of an Officer

Hedonism Bot June 8th, 2007 18:31

Well all I know is that if an officer was involved in a shooting and the press got wind that he was an avid war gamer he'd be BUTCHERD by the media.

Brian McIlmoyle June 8th, 2007 18:34

Yes, some do

but they are generally pretty low key about it.

sdsbwc June 8th, 2007 18:35

so does the police force look down on airsofters? or (altho its not completely legal) could it be some sort of a respectable hobbie, in a training point of view.

God some of you guys are truely clueless.

NachoPuddin June 8th, 2007 18:36

Its kind of a grey area. Primary reason is most of the kind are classified as replica firearms.

swatt13 June 8th, 2007 18:40

thats how a buddy of mine got into airsoft. an aquaintance of his and his task force use to train with airsoft rifles, my mate use to get invited frequently and was usually cast as a terrorist or hostage.

Drache June 8th, 2007 18:47

We used to have games of the Skydivers Vs. the Kamloops RCMP in paintball!
