you are my best friend now thanks,i've been
seaching without success,i hate wearing surplus
as my old unit issues the new style boots.
to be honest,my feet didn't like them:D

Lerch January 8th, 2007 17:16

I see new boots popping up at surplus shops every once and awhile.

I remember a buddy of mine had a pair for (I think) five years and the instep finally started to come apart at the seams. So he takes these mangy looking boots into Dave's, finds a brand spanking new pair on the shelf, and basically traded old boots+$10 for new boots.

not to far from asca,so i can two things at once, get age
verified and rebuild my old kit.again thanks:cool:

I wore mine for 8 years, daily use. They finally came apart this year, with only about 1/2" left of the sole.

These things take a beating like no other boots i've ever worn.

i bought two surplus pair and rotate them every few days.
i haven't owned a pair of running shoes since i joined the
service back in 1990.i find them more comforable than
most shoe.so i know what you are saying when you say
you wear them daily.

Lerch January 8th, 2007 22:38

I know exactly how you feel. I've got one pair of runners and I only use those for when I go to work cuz they fit in my locker better then boots.

And..I'm sure they have other uses...;)

on seasonal lay off right now,i've been through acton a fair
bit this past summer going to the gravel pits there,as for
visiting tacc3,i'll have to contact brian and see what is
happening,i might try to get down sooner, things are up
in the air right now:cool:

ATREYU January 9th, 2007 15:42

Brian, does dave give you free kneepads for propping him?

Army Outfitters January 10th, 2007 14:33

Brian may mention my store but through no prompting on my part. I do appreciate him mentioning that I have these items in stock along with many other items but he receives no compensation from me for doing so.
