Reflex vs. RDS
Quick question: Reflex sights are basically just RDS that you don't have to look straight down into to see the dot right? Your head can be moved a little but the dot still goes where the gun is going to shoot?
I'm looking at a G&P 1x40 RDS but I don't know if it's a reflex sight or not...I'm a little confused, thanks! |
the problem with reflex is the dot moves but it doesn't move where the gun is going to shoot.
what you're looking for is a sight with zero paralax which i've seen in rds's and scopes but not reflex sights (though be cause i haven't seen them doesn't mean it doesn't exist). |
Actually, red dot is just another term for reflex. They are the exact same thing. An Aimpoint is both a RDS and reflex, so this question is kind of null. And Lisa, if you've seen a parallax free RDS, you've seen a parallax free reflex as well

So generally speaking Aimpoint, RDS, Reflex...it's all the same and I should just make sure to stare straight into the sight anyways, lol?

For a bit of description between open sights and closed sights. Often, enclosed sights offer more parallax free sighting. |
